Meet the Owners

Brad and Cindy
Practitioners of Yoga since 1997, Brad and Cindy Bennett share a vision
of health and wellness, which makes them ideal owners of a community
Yoga studio.
Brad was born and raised in San Diego and is a third generation
San Diegan. Prior to founding Ginseng Yoga with his wife Cindy, Brad spent 20
years in the yacht maintenance industry on the San Diego waterfront.
Brad's introduction to Yoga:
"Cindy had asked me if I wanted to try a Yoga class. As a boxer
and all the intense training that comes with it, I didn't believe
that Yoga was going to be much of a challenge. She brought me to
a Yoga class in Encinitas and I found that it was much more difficult
than I had anticipated. That evening I felt a deep sense of peace
and relaxation from it. The next morning I was sore in places I
didn't even know existed. I became an instant fan of Yoga and incorporated
it into my life. My interest in boxing soon waned. I now spend some
of my free time surfing, practicing Yoga, and functional training."
As a former personal trainer, Cindy was especially fond of the
idea of helping people make fitness and wellness an everyday
part of their lives. She is also able to contribute greatly to the
scheduling aspects of the studio w/ her years of event planning
experience; she also incorporates her Fashion Merchandising/Business
degree in Ginseng's lifestyle boutique. Cindy LOVES people and this
is evident the moment you walk into the studio. In fact, every staff member
is eager to provide clients with the best possible customer service.
Together, the couple opened Ginseng Yoga studio in the summer of
2002 in the charming South Park neighborhood of San Diego. Outside
of their time spent at the studio, the Bennetts' number one priority
is family time spent with their daughter and enjoying life's simpler
side. Hiking, quality time with good friends, surfing and tennis
are among the activities they regularly enjoy.
