Laura Plumb is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yoga Teacher RYT-500, co-founder with her husband Bhava Ram of the Deep Yoga School of Healing Arts, and creator of the Blog, FoodALoveStory.wordpress.com

As a lifelong student of the world's great wisdom traditions, steeped in the Shakti of the Sri Vidya lineage and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, now gratefully under the spiritual guidance of H.H. Puyja Swami Chidanand Saraswati, Laura teaches locally at Ginseng, regularly at the Omega Institute and annually at the International Yoga Festival in India.

Vamadeva Shastri and Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar taught her the life-affirming gifts of Ayurveda and Jyotish which inform her holistic life counselling practice in San Diego. Rita Rivera, Shambhavi Chopra and Swamini Mayatitananda inspire her devotion to the Divine Mother, for which she created Sophia Circles and The Sophia Conference, an annual gathering of women in celebration of healing wisdom and the Sacred Feminine.
Classes with Laura are an experience of Yoga as ritual, body as temple, breath as holy gift, movement as an exhilaration of spirit. Laura also teaches classes in Ayurvedic cooking and has created a line of Ayurvedic Botanical Oils called Prakasha. She especially enjoys singing the Divine Name with her husband Bhava and uniting through song with the divine heart of seekers everywhere
